W16 stands not to be missed!

Homag: Homag will be displaying its BÜTFERING SWT 225 with all new features on its W16 stands, F710, F610 and F700. Also set to make its UK debut is the new entry-level 5-axis CNC processing centre, WEEKE Venture 115M. Machines on stand will also include the BHX 050 and BHX 200 compact CNC drilling centres, BRANDT KTD 720 Optimat and entry-level BRANDT 1120 FC edgebander.

DCS Group: At W16, the DCS Group will present the latest in dust extraction on stand K607, K610, K710 and M615. DCS Ltd is the sole UK distributor for German manufacturer Schuko and the company will be exhibiting a new, powerful mobile extraction unit – the Vacomat 350 XP TWIN. Ecogate Ltd will be demonstrating the cost saving ‘Extraction-on-Demand’ system and introducing the new Ecogate green BOX NXT. Gallito Ltd will also be showcasing the new Fast Clip Duct UK brand.

JJ Smith: JJ Smith will be showcasing three machines on its 300 sq/m W16 stands, G510/H510. The Intorex TMC1500 5-axis machining centre offers automatic loading, shaping, turning and sanding capabilities coupled with a router head and a 10 position tool changer. Making its UK debut, the Comec MD 'Classic' CNC machining centre will also be on display next to the MZ Project Quater automatic bandsaw.

Machinery Services UK: Exhibiting on stand A800, Machinery Services will be displaying its Turanlar UK Edgebander range in the UK for the very first time, along with its popular T-PF 280 through-feed post-former and the T-EB 157 Edgebander with its infrared lamp heating system and easy to handle carousel profile swap system.

Daltons Wadkin: Daltons Wadkin will showcase its exclusive range of Cehisa edgebanders for the first time in the UK. Available only in the UK though the Nottingham-based machinery supplier, the Cehisa Pro 12 and Cehisa Flexy edgebander will be makings its W debut. Six other brands will also be demonstrated on stand G710 and G610 including Salvador, Wadkin, Maggi, Elcon, Altendorf and Stenner.

Biesse Group UK: Making its UK debut, Biesse’s W4 panel return system with Stream A edgebander will be taking centre stage on its main stand, A510, alongside the Sektor beamsaw and Rover B FT with new K3 Winstore board storage and loading system. Biesse will also be displaying a range of machines designed exclusively for the smaller manufacture and sold through Biesse's distribution channel on stand N610.

Masterwood GB: Masterwood GB will show new pod and rail machining centres as well as nesting solutions on stand J510. A full range of 3D software packages, including those for three, four and five axis machines, will also be available for live demonstrations throughout the show.

Axminster Tools and Machinery: Axminster Tools and Machinery is planning to reveal new technology from its Axminster Industrial Series at W16 on stand C910. The compact Max 350 and Max 340M edgebanders will be displayed alongside spindle moulders, dual drum sanders, radial arm saws and Lamello biscuit jointing and knockdown fittings.

Issac Lord: Increasing its stand size after a successful W14, components distributor, Isaac Lord, will be displaying a wide range of hand tools, power tools and cabinet hardware from leading manufactures Festool, Mirka, Makita, Reisser and Blum on stand J717.  Products will include the Festool KA65 edgebander, Blum’s new Legrabox base router and Mirka’s Abranet belt. The stand will also include a cash desk and PDQ machine for stand-purchases and an interactive demonstration area.

Jowat/Riepe: Jowat will be launching its new unfilled PUR hot melt adhesive, Jowatherm-Reaktant® 608.00, for the first time in the UK on stand E710. To limit post-processing issues, Jowat’s W16 stand partner, Riepe, will also be exhibiting its special antistatic-coolant, which together with the appropriate release and cleaning agent, greatly improves the finish quality of the components directly from the machine.

Vero Software: Vero Software will be demonstrating its two specialist woodworking CAD/CAM packages - Alphacam and Cabinet Vision - at W16 on stand E909. New and enhanced items in Alphacam 2016 R2 will be on show, including improvements with automation, machining and feature extraction. Cabinet Vision will also be on display and in use to drive CNC machines on a number of machinery stands, including RW Machines, AXYZ Automation and Felder Group. 

Weinig: The new Powermat 700 moulder from Weinig will be featured on its W16 stand, M810. For workshops, the entry model ensures high quality production for any batch size. Designed with a new operating concept ‘Comfort Set’, a high number of accurate spanner-free adjustments provide improved ease of operation and very short setup times with great flexibility and in complete safety. A smart touch function also enables wireless connection between controls and tablet.

Festool: Festool will be featuring its new Domino range of connectors and joints for KD furniture and a new range of construction tools for the first time at W. The new Domino XL is the newest addition to Festool's line of mortise and tenon joiners and can be found on stand A610.

Holz-Her: As part of Weinig Group’s W16 stand, M810, Holz-Her will feature its latest vertical CNC machining centre, the Evolution 7405. With a machine footprint of less than 5m2 and a patent pending 4-sided milling facility, it includes a vacuum-based clamping system (patent pending). Work pieces up to 1,500mm long can be machined on all sides without re-clamping. This guarantees extremely short cycle times - up to 35% shorter machining cycles - and maximum precision, even on long parts.

Leica Geosystems: Leica Geosystems will be showcasing two of its newly updated geospatial tools on W16 stand, Q905. The Leica 3D Disto’s newly added features -a new CAD-Tool function and innovative Surface Scan - will be demonstrated alongside the Leica DISTO™ S910 laser-measuring device.

AXYZ International: AXYZ International is to launch a new and specially engineered router at W16 that’s been designed and built specifically for the cabinet-making and furniture manufacturing sectors. Called Optimus, the router will make its official UK debut on stand Q605. AXYZ International will also promote its CNC Routershop division, which has been supplying a vast range of tools, spare parts, accessories and consumables to owners of AXYZ and Pacer routers for the last 16 years.

Combilift Ltd: Combilift Ltd, the Irish specialist manufacturer of multidirectional forklifts, straddle carriers and other innovative handling solutions for long loads, containers and palletised goods, will show at W16 on stand J715. Combilift recently celebrated a milestone when the 30,000th Combilift rolled off the production lines in Monaghan.

TM Machinery: TM Machinery will be demonstrating models from the Striebig range of vertical panel saws and the Viet range of artisan wide belt sanders on W16 stand, B610. Three Striebig saws will be shown – an entry-level Compact 4164; a Standard TRK2 4216; and a fully-automatic Control 5224 - alongside two models from the high performance and economical Viet artisan range of wide belt sanders.

Mirka: On stand N710, the exhibition will mark the UK debut of Mirka’s new professional sanders, the Mirka PROS® 550DB and 650DB, which will headline the air tools display, supported by an exclusive show promotion available through Isaac Lords. Mirka’s new compact 34mm battery sander will also be on display. It offers fabricators a small detail sanding concept designed specifically for the hard to reach places on a variety of solid surfaces including Corian®, Krion™, Samsung and Staron®.

SCM: With an interactive exhibition space of over 7,000 sqft, SCM Group will be demonstrating over 20 machines on stand E510, E610, D610 and D510. New models include the Cyflex HP smart CNC drilling centre for batch-one manufacturing and the Startch CN CNC compact, universal drilling centre.  The new Universal NB boring and CNC working centre, K560 Airfusion edgebander and the multifunctional Planet P800 working centre for drilling, routing and edgebanding will also be in display.

PRM Waste Systems: Exhibiting for the first time at W16, PRM Waste Systems will be introducing the Nawrocki Pelleter on stand A405. The compact pellet mill is capable of processing sawdust into biomass pellets and turning waste into energy. The pellet mill is a complete product. Simply plug it in and feed it with your raw material.

R.J. Woodworking Machinery: R.J. Woodworking Machinery will be displaying four Tenoning machines from the Belgian Manufacturer, Vertongen on stand H710. Exclusively available in the UK from the British supplier, the fully automatic and programmable Tenoner Pentho Compact 4 High Performance will be making its UK debut alongside the Pentho Compact 3 with performance pack and Pentho Control 2 with cut-off saw.

Schuko Group: With nearly 50 years of experience in the extraction and disposal techniques of dust and swarf material, the Schuko Group will launch its Vacomat 350 XP TWIN on W16 stand, K607. Featuring twin-technology, the new system uses two identical ventilators with 5,5 kW that can be individually regulated in order to generate the required air flow.

Leitz: Leitz Tooling is featuring its state-of-the-art joinery tooling and its A+ energy rated timber window manufacturing ThermoTech System on W16 stand, D410. Visitors will also be able to discuss tooling servicing on stand, and following its runaway success at W14, Leitz will again be offering one to one tooling and production trouble-shooting sessions.

Felder: Felder will be displaying its latest developments on its largest UK exhibiting stand to date. Exhibiting on stands E910, F810 an F910, live demonstrations will be performed on a variety of machines including CNC machining centres, edgebanders, and wide belt sanders. Visitors will also have access to one-on-one time with the technical sales team, product managers and service technicians.

Schelling: Schelling UK will be exhibiting its FH4 330 cut-to-size saw on its W16 stand, C710. With a powerful 15 kW motor output, the compact panel saw can process all wood types. Live demonstrations will be available throughout the four-day event and displayed next to Schelling’s barbaric lifter.
