The W Exhibition organisers have announced a key appointment to its business development team with the promotion of Freya Humphries as commercial manager.
Humphries joins The W Exhibition and Elements from FIT Show, a partner show from within Montgomery Group’s design and build division, where she acted as the sales manager for over four years.
The W Exhibition & Elements is the only UK trade show for the joinery and furniture industries and is on course to deliver a record-breaking showcase when it opens its doors at the NEC, Birmingham next September (27 - 30, 2020) with 85 percent of space already sold.
Humphries joins as organisers announce a number of exciting updates planned for the bi-ennial exhibition, including the launch of a new CPD approved learning programme and brand new tooling village - the first in a series which are designed to broaden the show’s appeal amongst existing and new audiences.
Speaking about her promotion, Freya Humphries commented: “The W Exhibition and Elements is a unique and widely supported platform for the joinery and furniture industries, but with exciting and new opportunities to grow and develop our offering to meet the evolving needs of our audience.
“I’m looking forward to getting out into the marketplace, building on the already strong relationships we have and working with our audience to enhance the show even further.”
Humphries will work closely alongside Montgomery’s head office marketing and operations teams with the key aim of securing the long-term success of The W Exhibition and Elements, as well as working to grow Mongomery’s design and build event portfolio. She will report directly to Montgomery’s design and build MD, Nickie West.

The W Exhibition has over 40 years of heritage, and continues to grow. It will return to the NEC for it bi-ennial four-day showcase from September 27 - 30, 2020. The show brings together some of the world’s leading suppliers of woodworking machinery, materials and tooling.
