New for W16, we added three new areas:
The Elements of Innovation Zone showcased the latest design innovations on the market and promoted newly launched products, whilst offering visitors an opportunity to meet the manufacturers first hand.
The Skills for Excellence Zone offered visitors practical advice relating to the industry. Specialist recruitment agencies, health & safety officers, business finance gurus and marketing experts were on hand throughout the event to offer advice and guidance to those already working in the industry and those interested in a career in the sector.
The W Challenge Working closely with Didac Training College and AMS, the W Challenge featured a live, interactive competition, that saw college students from across the UK compete to make a piece of furniture over 4 days using machinery from within the industry. The winner was announced on the final day of the show. Courtesty of Felder, the winner recieved a £500 tooling voucher to spend on Felder tooling and accessories.

- The BWF Annual Dinner and Awards ceremony, which took place on the evening of 4th October at the prestigious National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham to celebrate achievements in the woodworking sector.
