Casetur Mechanism Wins Elements Of Innovation Award

German components manufacturer, Casetur Mechanism, has won an Elements of Innovation Award, sponsored by Ney, for its space-saving furniture mechanism, CM4070. Debuting the unique product for the first time in the UK at the Elements exhibition, the prestigious award was presented to the inventor, Ben Casetur, at the show.

The unique product, which is available to buy in the UK now, has been engineered for horizontal applications and allows a work surface to be transformed neatly into a compact shelf using a smooth two-step rotation. The mechanism, which can be rotated to 90 degrees, enables the workspace to rotate even when placed in a corner, allowing it to be used in the most compact of spaces. The patented design, which is available for demonstrations, is on show to visitors on Elements stand R310.

Benjamin Halde adds, “I really didn’t expect to win the award. The competition was really high. It feels good to win and the after effects of the exposure will help me in the UK, adding credibility to the product.”

Independent awards judge, John Legg adds, “Awards such as The Elements of Innovation are importance because they highlight the very best among suppliers in our industry and help visitors to directly access what the judges believe to be the most innovative introductions at the show.

“Entries to the awards this year were extremely varied but common to almost all entries was a desire to be innovative, either in a technical manner or in terms of aesthetics. For the fittings and components side, I was looking for something genuinely new, genuinely innovative – and although many of the entries had much to applaud, Casetur Mechanism stood out as an example of true innovation.”
